From choosing a plan to getting online

Four steps, none of them complicated — but two have a detail worth reading before you travel rather than after.

    Find your destination

    Search a country or a region. You'll see every plan that covers it, with the data, the validity period and the price side by side. If your trip crosses borders, compare a regional plan against buying two country plans — sometimes one is cheaper, sometimes the other.

    Buy it

    Enter your email, pay, and that's the transaction done. The email address matters more than usual here: your eSIM and its QR code go to it, and that's the copy you'll be scanning from.

    Install it

    Open your phone's mobile settings, choose to add an eSIM, and scan the QR code from the email. The phone downloads the profile and adds it as a second line. Do this at home on Wi-Fi — installing needs an internet connection, and if you wait until you land you may have no way to get one.

    Switch it on when you land

    Turn the Tyigo line on, enable data roaming for that line specifically, and select it as your mobile data line. Leave your usual SIM active for calls and texts, with its own data roaming switched off so it can't run up a bill by accident.
